All swaps need a tune. Why?
add timing, and that’s when you feel it “take off.” The downside? Poor MPG, less power, and a misleading “butt dyno.” For anyone running a swap without a tune—trust me, your seat-of-the-pants feel is way off.
Now, if you think it feels decent untuned, just imagine how much better it gets after a proper tune. The difference is night and day. Back when swaps first started getting popular, guys would drop them in, skip the tune, and then line up against 1st gens—only to get walked hard.

Catch can upgrade! I know this will be controversial, but I also installed Z1 high-output coils. Over the past week, I got quite a few things on the car fixed. New motor mounts, engine oil, and transmission fluid change, new AF sensors, and motor mounts. I had a cylinder 2 misfire, so I went ahead and changed the plugs, and it turned out to be a coil issue, so I opted for the Z1 upgraded coils to replace all the stock ones. This also finally gave me a reason to upgrade my old catch can system to a proper Motion Raceworks vented can with AN lines and completely delete the PCV system.

Part number C2865-1EA0: I wanted to see if this shifter would fit since I used to have it on my Sentra SER back in the day. Unfortunately, it does not. The base of the knob is too small in diameter to clear the shifter’s top collar, so it can’t thread onto the shifter without an extender—the shortest one I could find is 2 inches. It’s possible to cut the extender to make it sit flush on the stick. That said, I’ll be selling this knob along with the extender if anyone wants to try making it fit.

I’m not sure of the part number for this shifter since I bought it used. It came off a 350Z with an OEM Nismo knob. I wanted to see if this one would fit better because its wider base diameter should allow it to clear the shifter’s top collar—and it does! The only “modification” I had to make was adding two 10mm washers to the OEM shifter where the knob threads on. This prevents it from threading down too far, which would interfere with the pull-up reverse lockout. This shifter sits much better, and I’m stoked I found it!

Come grab it! Talk to me respectfully—this was an impulse buy, and I genuinely don’t have the time for it. It comes with a bunch of extra parts I have lying around. Serious inquiries only; I’ll provide more details to those genuinely interested. I’ve only driven it off three times—twice after installing a new clutch and flywheel, with just 31 miles on a 600-mile break-in period. Reaching out here first to give someone the chance to own a 500+ HP VQ before I list it on VQ pages and the marketplace. Hit me up!

Found these little metal decals on AliExpress and stuck one on the metra dash kit. I think it makes it look more OEMish.
