The OEM undercarriage is missing a fairly vital component. We have designed a skid plate/under tray to cover up the bottom of the engine, which will protect and help keep it clean. This design is vented for airflow improvement and optimal cooling. By having this on, you will improve airflow both through the radiator and the aerodynamics under the vehicle.

Installation is straight forward and all hardware needed will be supplied. You MUST have a rivet nut tool to install this properly as rivet nuts will be utilized where Nissan didn’t use threaded holes in the chassis. We do offer a cheap tool if you don’t have one, and you can find that rivet nut tool here.

MADE OF .063 ALUMINUM – hard aluminum resistant to denting and splitting but lightweight to avoid adding unnecessary weight
LASER CUT – Precise cuts to fit stock mounting points
CLEARANCE – clearance is a consideration we have tried to maximize while covering inportant parts
RIGIDITY – Offers better protection while strengthening bumper support for better stability at high speeds
VENTED DESIGN – Helps to aid with air flow and heat removal
UPGRADE OPTION – We manufacture this in USA, here in Las Vegas. If you want to upgrade the thickness of the main panels we offer this. Front bumper portions will remain in thinner metal as they can be damage easily and replaced separately.

Last Nissan Maxima to Roll Off of the Smyrna Assembly Line

Last week, Nissan team members celebrated the last Maxima to roll off of the Smyrna assembly line!
Over the last 20 years, the Maxima has helped establish Nissan as a key player in the global auto industry, Smyrna as one of North America’s finest manufacturing plants, and our team members as some of the best technicians on the planet.

Virtually every Nissan Smyrna employee has played a role in creating the Maxima’s legacy. Since the start of Maxima production (all the way back in 2003!), there have been a total of over 1 million Maximas produced. But despite that large quantity, quality never slipped. In fact, throughout the course of its production, the Maxima won five different manufacturing-related J.D. Power awards, including being named the “Best Overall Model” in this year’s J.D. Power Initial Quality Study.

Smyrna is proud to have been the home of Maxima for 20 years. And as we roll forward, the legacy of the Maxima and the team members that built it will go on to inspire the bright future of Nissan Smyrna!

7thgen Nissan Maxima with 8thgen Shifter Assembly, Boot & 8th Gen Shift Knob

I’ve successfully swapped an 8th Gen Maxima Shifter Assembly with the 8th Gen Maxima Boot & 8th Gen Shift Knob into my 7th Gen Maxima.

Notes:

Was it plug and play? Pretty much everything is plug and play only thing i had to change is swap out the 8th Gen shifter housing wiring harness out for the 7th Gen shifter wiring harness to avoid having to rewire the 8th gen shifter wiring harness into a 7th Gen socket/plug and for the center console i modified the 7th Gen shift cover to put the 8th Gen boot into it.
